Collection 2011/2012 - 10|90
This collection is inspired at the BBC-documentary "Is Seeing Believing?". It’s about the way our eyes can fool our brains and vice versa. To be fooled by an optical illusion is seen as a weakness, while it’s a strong evolutionarily point. The title '10|90' comes from the proportions of an optical illusion: the eyes see 10%, while the resting 90% is constructed in the brains. This way we get a complete image as soon as possible, but which may differ from the reality. By using prints that are inspired at Op-Art and working with layers of printed fabric I created my own optical illusions in each piece.
